Personal Data may be provided by the User or, in the case of Usage Data, automatically collected when using Dare to Care.
Unless otherwise indicated, the provision of all the Data requested by Dare to Care is mandatory and if you do not provide this Data, Dare to Care may not be able to provide its Services. In cases where Dare to Care specifically indicates that certain Data is not required, Users may choose whether or not to provide such Data, without affecting the availability or operation of the Service.
If Users are unsure which Personal Data must be provided, they may contact the Owner.
The use of Cookies – or other tracking tools – by Dare to Care or by the owners of third-party services used by Dare to Care is for the purpose of providing the Service requested by the User, in addition to the other purposes specified in this document and in the Cookie Policy, if any.
The Users are responsible for Personal Data of third parties obtained, published or shared by Dare to Care and they confirm that they have the consent of the third party to provide the Data to the Owner.

Processing method
The Owner takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction of the Data.
The processing of the Data is carried out using computers and/or IT tools, following organizational procedures and practices that are closely aligned with the stated purposes. In addition to the Owner, the Data may in certain cases also be accessible to certain data controllers involved in the operation of Dare to Care (management, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or to external parties designated by the Owner as Data Processors (such as external technical service providers, mail programs, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies). The updated list of these parties can be requested from the Owner at any time.
Legal basis for processing
The Owner may process Personal Data relating to Users in any of the following cases, if:
Note: In certain jurisdictions, the Owner may be permitted to process Personal Data until the User objects (“opt-out”), without the need to obtain consent or any of the following legal grounds. However, this does not apply where European data protection law applies to the processing of Personal Data;
the provision of Data is necessary for the execution of an agreement with the User and/or for any pre-contractual obligations thereof;
the processing is necessary in order to comply with a legal obligation incumbent on the Owner;
the processing is related to a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Owner;
the processing is necessary for the protection of the legitimate interests of the Owner or third parties.
In any case, the Owner is happy to clarify the specific legal basis applicable to the processing, and in particular whether the provision of Personal Data is a legal or contractual obligation, or a necessary requirement to conclude a contract.
Location
The Data will be processed at the Owner’s registered offices and other locations where the parties involved in the processing are located.
Depending on the location of Users, the transfer of personal data may involve the transfer of Users’ Data to a country other than their own. For more information on the processing location of such transferred Data, Users may refer to the article detailing the processing of Personal Data.
Users also have the right to be informed of the legal basis for the transfer of Data to a country outside the European Union or to an international organization under public international law or established by two or more countries, such as the UN, and of the security measures taken by the Owner to protect their Data.

Storage time
Personal data is processed and stored for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Therefore, the following applies:
Personal data collected for purposes related to the performance of an agreement between the Owner and the User will be retained until such agreement is fully executed.
Personal data collected for the Owner’s legitimate interests will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill those purposes. Users can find specific information about the Owner’s legitimate interests in the relevant articles of this document or by contacting the Owner.
The Owner may be permitted to retain Personal Data for a longer period where the User has given consent to such processing, so long as such consent is not withdrawn. In addition, the Owner may be required to retain Personal Data for a longer period where this is necessary for the performance of a legal obligation or on the instructions of a government agency.
Upon expiry of the retention period, Personal Data will be deleted. Therefore, the right to access, the right to erasure, the right to rectification and the right to data portability cannot be imposed after the expiry of the retention period.
The purpose of processing
The Data in respect of the User is collected so that the Owner can provide its Service, comply with its legal obligations, respond to enforcement requests, protect its rights and interests (or those of its Users or third parties), detect malicious or fraudulent activity, and for the following purposes: Analytics, User contact, Data linking, Spam protection, Tag management, Display of content from external platforms, User database management, Marketing, Heatmaps and session registration, Interaction with online survey platforms, Managing data collection and online surveys, Advertising, Interaction with live chat platforms, Registration and verification, Remarketing and behavioral advertising and Registration and verification directly by Dare to Care.

Detailed information on the processing of Personal Data
Personal data is collected for the following purposes using the following services:
Advertising
With this type of service, User Data may be used for advertising communications. This communication is displayed in the form of banners and other advertisements on Dare to Care, which may be based on the User’s interest.
This does not mean that all Personal Data is used for this purpose. Information and terms of use are set out below.
Certain services indicated below may use Trackers to identify Users or they may apply a behavioral retargeting technique, i.e. display ads targeted to the User’s interest and behavior, also outside Dare to Care. For more information on this, please read the privacy policies of the relevant services.
In addition to the opt-out features offered by any of the Services below, Users may also opt-out at the Opt-out page of Network Advertising Initiative .
Users may also opt-out of certain advertising features through applicable device settings, such as the advertising settings on the device itself for mobile phones or advertising settings in general.
LinkedIn Ads (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company)
LinkedIn Ads is an advertising service offered by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company.

Analyses
The services described in this section allow the Owner to track and analyze Internet traffic, and this may be used to chart usage behavior.
Facebook Ads conversion tracking (Facebook pixel) (Facebook Ireland Ltd)
Facebook Ads conversion tracking (Facebook pixel) is an analytics service provided by Facebook Ireland Ltd that links data from Facebook’s ad network to actions performed by Dare to Care. The Facebook pixel tracks conversions attributable to ads on Facebook, on Instagram and in the Audience Network.

Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited)
Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). Google will use the collected Data to track and investigate the use of Dare to Care, to compile reports on its activities and to share it with other Google services.
Google may use the collected Data to frame and personalize the advertisements provided by its own advertising network.

Google Analytics with anonymised IP (Google Ireland Limited)
Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). Google will use the collected Data to track and investigate the use of Dare to Care, to compile reports on its activity and to share it with other Google services.
Google may use the collected Data to frame and personalize the advertisements of its own advertising network.
This integration of Google Analytics anonymizes your IP address. This works by truncating the IP addresses of the Users in the member states of the European Union or in other states within the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is transmitted to a Google server and abbreviated in the USA.

User database management
These types of services allow the Owner to create user profiles from an email address, a proper name, or other information that the User provides to Dare to Care, and to track the User’s activities through analytics functions. This Personal Data may also be linked to publicly available information about the User (such as profiles in social networks) and used to build private profiles that the Owner may display and use to improve Dare to Care.
Certain services may also periodically send messages to the User, such as email messages based on specific actions performed in Dare to Care.
SendinBlue Marketing Automation (SendinBlue SAS)
SendinBlue is a user database management service offered by SendinBlue SAS.

Manage data collection and online surveys
This type of service allows Dare to Care to manage the creation, execution, distribution and analysis of online forms and surveys to collect, store and re-use the data of Users that respond.
The personal data collected depends on the information requested and provided by the Users in the relevant web form.
These services can be integrated with a wide range of third-party services that allow the Owner to take follow-up steps with the processed data, for example, contact management, messaging, analytics, advertising and payment processing.
Hotjar surveys (Hotjar Ltd.)
Hotjar surveys provides a survey building function and data collection platform provided by Hotjar Ltd.
Hotjar surveys may use cookies to track the behavior of Users. Users can disable tracking cookies from Hotjar surveys on this opt-out page.
Hotjar surveys respect the Do-Not-Track option available in most modern browsers which, when enabled, sends a special signal to not track the User’s activity. Users can find more information on enabling Do-Not-Track for each supported browser here.

Facebook lead ads (Facebook Ireland Ltd)
Facebook lead ads is an advertising and data collection service provided by Facebook Ireland Ltd that allows form-based ads to be displayed to Users pre-populated with personal information from their Facebook profile, such as name and email address. Depending on the type of ad, Users may be asked to provide more information.
Submission of the form will result in the collection and processing of this Data by Owner in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and only for the specific purpose described on the form and/or within this Privacy Policy, if so provided.
Users may exercise their rights at any time, including the right to withdraw their consent to the processing of their Data, as indicated in the Users’ Rights Information section of this Privacy Policy.

Contact with the User
Contact form (Dare to Care)
By filling out the contact form with his/her Data, the User authorizes Dare to Care to use this data to answer to requests for information, requests for quotes and other types of requests indicated in the header of the form.

Mailing list or newsletter (Dare to Care)
By registering for the mailing list or newsletter, the User’s email address is added to the list of contacts who may receive email messages containing information of a commercial or promotional nature in relation to Dare to Care. Your email address may also be added to this list when you sign up for Dare to Care or after making a purchase.

Heatmaps and session registration
Heatmap services are used to indicate the parts of Dare to Care that Users interact with most often. This indicates areas of interest. These services allow website traffic to be viewed and analyzed and User behavior to be tracked.
Certain services may record sessions and later make them available for visual playback.

Hotjar is a session recording and heat mapping service provided by Hotjar Ltd.

These types of services allow direct interaction with external platforms for live chats from Dare to Care’s pages, so that you can contact Dare to Care’s support service or be contacted by this service.
If one of these services is installed, it may collect browsing and Usage Data on the pages on which it is installed, even if the Users are not actively using the service. In addition, live chat conversations may be recorded.
Facebook Messenger Customer Chat (Facebook Ireland Ltd)
The Facebook Messenger Customer Chat is a service for interacting with the Facebook Messenger live chat platform provided by Facebook Ireland Ltd.

Interacting with online survey platforms
These types of services allow direct interaction with external online survey platforms from Dare to Care’s pages.
If one of these services is installed, it may collect Browsing and Usage Data on the pages where it is installed, even if the users are not actively using the service.

The Hotjar Poll & Survey widgets are services that enable interaction with the Hotjar platform, provided by Hotjar Ltd.

Zapier is a workflow automation service offered by Zapier, Inc. that automates the transfer of Data between services (of third parties).

By registering or verifying, Users agree that Dare to Care will recognize them and allow them access to the specific services.
Depending on the circumstances described below, third party services may provide registration and verification services. In that case Dare to Care
will have access to certain Data stored by these third party services for registration and identification purposes.

Registration and verification directly by Dare to Care
By registering or verifying, Users agree that Dare to Care may recognize them and allow them access to the specific services. The Personal Data is collected and stored exclusively for registration or identification purposes. Only the Data necessary to provide the service requested by the Users is collected.
Direct registration (Dare to Care)
The User registers by filling out the registration form and submitting the Personal Data directly to Dare to Care.

Remarketing and behavioural advertising
This type of service allows Dare to Care and its partners to optimize and provide informed advertising based on the User’s previous use of Dare to Care.
This activity is made possible through the tracking of Usage Data and the use of Trackers. This information is passed to partners who manage remarketing and behavioral advertising activities.
Certain services offer a remarketing option based on lists of email addresses.
In addition to the opt-out features offered by any of the Services below, Users may also opt-out at the Opt-out page of Network Advertising Initiative.

Facebook Remarketing is a remarketing and behavioral advertising service provided by Facebook Ireland Ltd that links Dare to Care’s activity to Facebook’s advertising network.

Spam protection
These types of services analyze Dare to Care’s traffic, which may include Users’ Personal Data, to filter out portions of traffic, messages and content that are recognized as spam.

The use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the privacy policy Google terms and conditions.

This type of service helps the Owner to manage tags or scripts that are needed in a centralized manner for Dare to Care.

Google Fonts is a font visualization service provided by Google Ireland Limited that allows Dare to Care to include this type of content on its pages.

Font Awesome is a font visualization service provided by Fonticons, Inc. that allows Dare to Care to include this type of content on its pages.

Automated decision making
Automated decision making means that a decision which can produce legal effects or similar significant effects on the User is made solely by technological means, without any human intervention.
Dare to Care may use the User’s Personal Data to make decisions based in whole or in part on automated processes in accordance with the purposes described in this document.
Dare to Care shall use automated decision making processes to the extent necessary to enter into or perform a contract between the User and the Owner, or on the basis of the User’s express consent, if such consent is required by law.
Automated decisions are made using technological means – usually based on algorithms based on predefined criteria – which can also be provided by third parties. The consideration behind automated decision-making is:
to enable or otherwise improve the decision-making process;
To give Users fair and unbiased treatment based on consistent and uniform criteria;
to limit the potential damage caused by human error, personal bias, etc. which could lead to discrimination or imbalance in the treatment of individuals, etc;

Effects of automated decision-making processes on Users and rights of Users affected by them
Users affected by such processing may therefore exercise specific rights aimed at preventing or otherwise limiting the potential consequences of the automated decisions taken. In particular, users have the right to:
to be informed of any decision taken as a result of automated decision-making and to express their views on that decision;
challenge a decision by asking the Owner to reconsider it or make a new decision on some other basis;
request and obtain human intervention from the Owner in any such processing.

Rights of Users
Users may exercise certain rights with respect to their Data processed by the Owner.
In particular, users have the right to do the following:
To withdraw their consent at any time. Users have the right to withdraw their consent if they have previously given their consent to the processing of their Personal Data.
Object to Processing of their Data. Users have the right to object to the processing of their Data if the processing is carried out on a legal basis other than consent. More information can be found in the specific article below.
Accessing their Data. Users have the right to know whether the Owner is carrying out Data Processing, to learn about certain aspects of the processing and to obtain a copy of the Data being processed.
To verify and request rectification. Users have the right to verify the accuracy of their Data and to request its update or rectification.
To limit the processing of their Data. Users have the right to limit the processing of their Data under certain circumstances. In that case, the Owner will not process their Data for any purpose other than to store it.
To have their Personal Data erased or otherwise deleted. Users have the right to have the Owner erase their Data under certain circumstances.
To receive their Data and have it transferred to another Processor. Users have the right to obtain their Data in a structured, common and machine-readable form and, if technically possible, to transfer such Data to another Processor, without being hindered in doing so. This provision applies on condition that the Data are processed in an automated manner and that the processing is based on the User’s consent, on an agreement to which the User is a party or on pre-contractual obligations arising therefrom.
Filing a complaint. Users have the right to make a claim to their competent data protection authority.

Where Personal Data is processed in the public interest, in the exercise of public authority vested in the Owner or for the purpose of pursuing the Owner’s legitimate interests, the User may object to such processing by providing, in justification of the objection, a reason relating to his or her particular situation.
However, Users should be aware that, if their Personal Data is processed for direct marketing purposes, they may object to such processing at any time without giving any reasons. How to exercise these rights
Requests to exercise User Rights may be addressed to the Owner using the contact information provided in this document. These requests are free of charge and will be handled by the Owner as soon as possible and always within one month.

Legal Procedures
The Owner may use the User’s Personal Data for legal purposes, in court or in preliminary phases in case of illegal use of Dare to Care or the related Services.

In addition to the information contained in this Privacy Policy, Dare to Care may, upon request, provide the User with additional and contextual information about certain Services or the collection and processing of Personal Data.

For operation and maintenance purposes, Dare to Care and third party services may collect files that record interaction with Dare to Care (system logs) or use other Personal Data for this purpose (such as IP address).

How requests not to track browsing traffic are processed
Dare to Care does not support requests not to track your browsing traffic.

Changes to this privacy policy
Owner reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by notifying its Users on this page and possibly within Dare to Care and/or – to the extent technically and legally feasible – by sending a notice to Users using contact information available to Owner. We encourage you to check this page often for any changes. The date of the last change is indicated at the bottom of the page.
If the changes relate to processing activities based on User consent, the Owner must again obtain User consent, to the extent required.
Definitions and legal framework
Personal data (or Data)
All data that directly, indirectly or in connection with other data – including a personal identification number – make it possible to identify or identify a natural person.
Usage data

Controller (or Owner)

The Processing Agent is the Owner of Dare to Care, unless otherwise indicated.

The means by which the User’s Personal Data is collected or processed.

The Service offered by Dare to Care as described in the relevant terms and conditions (if available) and on this site/application.
